Overview

Details

The NWPP Resource Adequacy effort is wrapping up work on the detailed design of a future resource adequacy program. The first stage of the program, which is called the “Non-Binding Forward Showing Program” is expected to kick off in the Fall of 2021 and will involve participation of LSEs within the NWPP footprint that choose to opt in to the program. The hope of the NWPP RA effort is to have broad participation for stage 1 of the program by LSEs and to encourage that participation, the NWPP RA effort plans to host a series of public meetings called the LSE Information Forum (or LIF). The goal of LIF is to build LSE awareness and understanding of the RA program under development and share information about opportunities and timing for LSE’s to participate in the program.

The LIF will be set up as a series of webinars on an approximately monthly basis beginning in late May through late July/early August. The LIF is open to all but encourages and gives priority to participation by LSE in the region. The LIF will focus on content that is of general applicability to all LSEs, but will also dedicate a session led by BPA to address BPA-centric content for only BPA’s customers. The first LIF meeting will be held on May 21st from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and will address the topics listed below. Call in information is also provided. The timing and topics of future meetings are outlined below but are still under development and subject to change.

We welcome your participation on May 21st and future meetings will be announced in the coming weeks. If you have any questions please reach out to Lea Fisher (lfisher@publicgeneratingpool.com).
