Join us in January for two virtual events with important news and updates about the Western Transmission Expansion Coalition and other regional transmission planning efforts. Below find more information about the two events and links to register. We hope you will attend.

Transmission Planning: Who is Doing What? Thursday, January 25, 2024: 9-11am Pacific

Several transmission planning efforts are underway to forecast future electric system needs in the West and identify transmission needs. Join the Western Power Pool, Gridworks, and GridLab for a discussion comparing these transmission planning studies and efforts, including what is being planned for the Western Transmission Expansion Coalition effort. GridLab Senior Program Manager Casey Baker will lead the discussion with representatives from each study also invited.

Western Transmission Expansion Coalition: Updates and Information Monday, January 29, 2024: 9-11am Pacific

Since publication of its Concept Paper on October 2, 2023, the Western Power Pool received over 30 sets of comments from the public in response to its proposal to form a Western Transmission Expansion Coalition effort to develop a West-wide long-term transmission plan. Join the Western Power Pool along with several co-presenters involved in the effort to share updates, next steps, and to take questions and comments from the public.
