  • Section 4.1 states “An example spreadsheet showing steps 1 through 4 is posted on the WPP website.” Please provide location on WPP Website of example files (not sure if a location exists yet for these referenced examples, but general location on website should be referenced).

After Step 4 the BPM refers to the WPP website for an example spreadsheet. PGE suggests adding the actual weblink to the example spreadsheet in the footnote for easy access.

Per this BPM there is no provision that requires Participants to include known new loads that were not reflected in the monthly P50 load forecast provided by the PO. Additionally, there is no penalty mechanism for entities whose actual loads far exceed the monthly P50. This creates an avenue for Participants to lean on the program until actual loads become incorporated into the Participant’s P50 calculation, which will take several operating seasons.

Why is the P(50) Load methodology different for Summer vs Winter?

June 17, 2024, 4:32 p.m.
JERRET FISCHER | SRP

SRP request clarification on the rationale for having a different methodology for winter compared to summer. Specifically, SRP inquires the purpose of the “Super Peak” months in the winter and whether the ratios used in the summer could be applicable in the winter as well. Understanding the reasoning behind these differences may be helpful for WRAP participants.

SRP suggests expanding the example spreadsheet posted on the WPP website to include all steps (1-6) rather than the current subset of steps 1-4.

The text in 6. Says the load growth factor is only applied to step 5, APS believes it should say that it is applied to steps 1 through 5.

Labeling Table 1 with the specific Winter Season to which the example data applies would increase clarity.
